24/48-Hour Holter Monitoring 📈
Holter monitoring is a crucial non-invasive test that continuously records your heart’s rhythm for 24 to 48 hours. It’s designed to detect irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) that may not appear during a standard, short-term ECG test.
Continuous Monitoring
Captures a complete picture of your heart’s activity during your normal daily routine, not just for a few seconds in a lab.
Detects Hidden Issues
Excellent for diagnosing intermittent symptoms like dizziness, palpitations, or fainting that may be caused by heart rhythm problems.
Comfortable & Convenient
The device is small, portable, and worn discreetly under your clothing, allowing you to go about your day with minimal disruption.
What is Holter Monitoring?
A Holter monitor is essentially a portable ECG machine. Small, painless electrodes are placed on your chest and connected to the lightweight monitor, which you can clip to your belt or waistband. You’ll be asked to keep a simple diary of your activities and any symptoms you experience while wearing it.
Why Might You Need a Holter Monitor?
- To investigate symptoms like palpitations, fainting, or shortness of breath.
- To determine if your current heart medication is working effectively.
- To check your heart’s rhythm after a heart attack or other cardiac event.
- To detect an irregular heartbeat that a regular ECG might have missed.
The Process: Simple & Non-Invasive
The setup is quick and takes only about 15 minutes. A technician will attach the electrodes and show you how to wear the device. After the 24 or 48-hour period, you simply return to our center to have it removed. The data is then analyzed by our experts, and a detailed report is sent to your doctor.
